About

Hi!

As a kid, I spent nights studying vintage Macintosh engineering blueprints. Also designing clothes, and doing experimental photography. Engineering won. I went computer engineering.

But somewhere in between writing 8086 assembly, real-time shaders, and Dijkstra on a whiteboard, my absolute dream was to make life easier for people. To shape the part of a product that people actually touch. The part they interact with every day.

What do I do, then? What do I want from the world? Or, for the world?

  • “Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.”

    Steve Jobs, 2003

I want to make software easier to use. Simpler to get around. Beautiful, stunning, stunningly beautiful! Software that doesn’t get in your way, that you just know how to use. I want it to make you feel like you’re flying.

That’s what I do. I connect software engineering, product design and user experience to make things that feel good to use.

I don’t box myself into one role. I do whatever my process requires. The best label I’ve found is design engineer, so I stick with it. But don’t let it define me. I am not a label.
